Soccer
MatchGear fully supports both outdoor- and indoor soccer. This page explains in which ways the soccer version of MatchGear differs from other sports.
Both soccer versions consists of the following screens in the given order:
Click on the corresponding screen to get in-depth details of how that screens works.
Injury timer
The most distinct feature for soccer is the injury timer on the timer screen. This allows you to track for how long the play has stopped, making it easy to track the remaining time.
To start the injury timer, press the options button and click 'start injury timer', or if your watch has a programmable button, single-click that button to start the injury timer.
As soon as the main timer ends in the period, you'll get a notification, and the injury timer will start counting down. As soon as the injury timer reaches 0 as well, you'll get a notification again.
You can stop the main timer, which allows you to skip to the next period, end the match, etc. by pressing the options button and clicking 'pause timer', or if your watch has a programmable button, double-click that button to stop the main timer.
Overtime
MatchGear allows you to easily continue to overtime after every game. To begin overtime, pause the timer and press the options button at the top. Click on 'Start overtime' and set the duration of each overtime period and break.
MatchGear will transfer over the current score to overtime automatically.

- Penalty goal
