Workout tracking
Notice
Currently, this feature is only implemented on Apple Watches and is still in the beta phase.
We're currently working to expand this feature, and add it to the Android version as well.
MatchGear automatically creates a workout as soon as you start a match. This helps you track your fitness details, as well as your position on the pitch during the game.
During the match, the following data is stored for the workout session:
- The type of workout.
- This is automatically set based on the chosen sport.
- Your heart rate during the game.
- Your GPS position on the pitch.
- The distance.
Viewing your workouts
MatchGear does not store workouts in the app, but rather in the built-in Health app on your watch.
For Apple Watches, you can view the recorded workouts from the Apple Health app on your watch or iPhone.
For Android watches, the workout is stored in the default app. Most of the time, this is Samsung Health or Google Fit.
Privacy details
Your health data is not sent to MatchGear or stored anywhere inside the app after your match has ended.
MatchGear records these parameters during the match, and as soon as you finish the match, the data is written to the Health app on your watch and removed by MatchGear.
After ending the match, MatchGear has no access to any of the health data stored on your watch.
